Paano maiiwasan ang HIV/Aids sa Pilipinas?

  1. Gumamit ng condom sa pakikipagtalik
  2. Subukan magpa-preexposure prophylaxis

Cases of HIV/AIDS in the Philippines are continuously rising to the point where the Philippines ranks 1st in the world. With World AIDS Day taking place on December 1st, there is no better time to inform people how to avoid contracting the deadly virus.

Make sure to use a new condom each time you engage in any form of sex. If at any point you feel that the condom broke, stop immediately and replace it with a new one. Proper disposal is also important in ensuring that any virus or STD will not spread. Wrap the used condom in tissue before throwing it in the trash.

Subukan magpa-preexposure prophylaxis

While this doesn’t make you 100% immune to the virus, it greatly reduces the risk of getting HIV and can prevent it from taking hold and spreading throughout your body if you do manage to contract the virus. Combined with using condoms and other preventive measures, you can live your life without fear of getting HIV/AIDS. People who are at risk such as those who are very sexually active should consider this.

Get tested and have it done often if you’re sexually active. If you feel that you are at risk of getting HIV, refuse to engage in sexual acts with someone who hasn’t been tested.

Key Takeaway

AIDS can result in death if not controlled, and treatment only happens once it is detected. This is why you should do your best in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Philippines. Safe sex is of utmost importance if you’re sexually active. By following the tips listed above, you do not only keep yourself safe but others as well.

Isang araw man sa isang taon lamang nangyayari ang World AIDS day, maaari mo pa ring ipalaganap ang kamalayan sa kondisyon na ito sa pamamamagitan ng palaging pagpapractice ng safe sex.
