Whether it's clothes, exercise or food, too much of anything is bad for you! People have to learn to moderate themselves. Excessiveness could lead to negative results that we will surely end up regretting. Here are 5 sinful foods you shouldn't have too much of:

1. Cakes

Or any sugar rich desserts. Control your sweet tooth or you'll end up frequenting the drugstore to buy medicine for diabetes. Sugar is not bad if eaten in regulation, it's actually found in fruits, milk and other food products. It is a good source of energy especially to very active people. But if you're not the type to exercise daily and loves lounging around then it becomes a problem. Instead of turning the sugar to productive energy, your body will end up storing it and turning it to fat. We all know excessive fat is never good for the body! Too much sweets can turn you diabetic and obese.

2. Potatoes

Does your meal always include mashed potatoes, baked potatoes or french fries on the side? Do you go straight to the junk food aisle and hoard potato chips when you go to the grocery? You should tone down with those potatoes because they are rich in carbohydrates and starch. Potatoes are a good source of nutrients and energy but just like sweets, too much potatoes could lead to obesity. You'd have to burn off the carbs and starch with extra exercise if you don't want to end up being obese. Depending on how it's cooked, some potatoes are even unhealthy.

3. Soda

There's nothing more refreshing than a cup of Coke or Pepsi especially in the summer. People practically include soda in their everyday meals. But studies show that these soda drinks are the number one culprit of obesity. These bubbly drinks are practically sugar flavored water! Aside from being high in sugar, these drinks are quite acidic. Drinking too much soda or drinking on an empty stomach could lead to ulcer.

4. Milk tea

Nowadays milk tea shops have been sprouting everywhere! Health conscious teens have switched from coffee to tea. Drinking tea has its beneficial side. Tea has always been a good source of antioxidants that are good for the skin but what we don't know is that it has an unhealthy side too.  Tea has been modified to fit the younger generation's taste therefore syrup, tapioca pearls and milk were added. A cup of milk tea or bubble tea might be good for the health but along with that flavorful taste, calories are also added. Watch your calorie intake! Too much bubble tea can make you make you fat. It can also increase your sugar level. Tea also has caffeine, so if you don't want to end up having sleepless nights, don't replace your water with milk tea.

5. Instant Noodles

A lot of busy people have no time to cook, consequently they end up having to settle for instant noodles. Why wouldn't they? It tastes good and you just need to add hot water. This cup of goodness might be a quick way to resolve hunger but beware of its health risks! It can cause hypertension, heart diseases, kidney damage and other illnesses. Instant noodles are processed food that are extremely high in carbohydrates, sodium and preservatives but has very low nutrient content. In short, instant noodles are junk food.

Health is wealth. Take care of your body by eating the right amount of everything. Keep a balance diet and exercise daily. Remember having a healthy body will make you feel better and happier!
