Fixcom 3 is a medication used for the maintenance phase treatment of pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis.
Description:
1. Formulation
(a) Each tablet contains the following active ingredients:
o Rifampicin -------------------------------------------------------150 mg
o Isoniazid ----------------------------------------------------------75 mg
o Ethambutol ------------------------------------------------------275 mg
2. Indications
(a) Fixcom 3 is recommended for the continuation phase of anti-tuberculosis short-course chemotherapy as per World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
3. Contraindications
(a) Avoid using Fixcom 3 in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
(b) Caution is advised during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as some components cross the placenta or are present in breast milk.
