WHAT IS THE MEDICINE USED FOR?
(Indication) Iron-deficiency anaemia.
HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU USE THIS MEDICINE?
(Dosage) Infant 3 month old to 1 year old 0.6-1.2 mL bid-tid, less than 3 month old 0.3-0.6 mL.
(Contraindications) Anemia not due to Fe deficiency, Fe intolerance, inability to absorb Fe or presence of ulcerative colitis, regional enteritis, colostomy, ileostomy or hemochromatosis.
(Precautions) Patients receiving repeated blood transfusions or w/ anemias produced by Fe deficiency. Severe GI corrosion may occur in childn ingesting excessive amount of Fe.
(Side Effects) GI irritation & abdominal pain w/ nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.
