What is Lagundi syrup used for?

Lagundi syrup is used for different pulmonary concerns. Lagundi syrup can melt phlegm, making it easier to cough out. It can help give:

  • Relief of asthma & pharyngitis
  • Relief of rheumatism, dyspepsia, boils, diarrhea
  • Treatment for cough, colds, fever and flu and other bronchopulmonary disorders

How much and how often should you take Lagundi syrup?

Take the Lagundi syrup exactly as directed on the label or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.

Use the child’s weight or age to find the right dose. You can also consult with a doctor to find out the proper dose for your child.

Lagundi syrup for adults

10 mL (2 tsp) 3 to 4 times daily. Dose may be increased as needed.

Lagundi syrup for kids

15 mg/ Kg/ dose (or 0.25 L/Kg/ dose) administer 3 times daily

For 2 – 4 years (10 – 15.5 Kg)

  • ½ – 1 tsp. 3 times daily

For 4 – 6 years (15.5 – 20 Kg)

  • 1 tsp. 3 times daily

For 6 – 12 years (20 – 40 Kg)

  • 1 ½ – 2 tsp. 3 times daily

For Children over 40 Kg body weight

  • 2 tsp. 3 times daily or as prescribed by the physician

Shake well before using. To ensure that you are giving the right amount of medicine, please use the provided measuring cup, spoon, or dropper. Before pouring out the medicine into the measuring device, check the markings to see if you can read them clearly. Then, pour the required dose into the measuring device. Make sure to clean and store the device properly after each use. You should not use a kitchen tablespoon or teaspoon in place of the provided measuring device as this will result in an incorrect dose.

Precautions

Lagundi is safe for both pregnant and breastfeeding mothers but it is still best to consult with your doctor before taking it.

Discontinue use of Lagundi syrup if your symptoms persist and immediately consult with your doctor.

Side Effects

Lagundi can cause allergic reactions for some people. If you experience swelling or itchy lips, immediately discontinue use and consult with your doctor.
