To be given 3 to 4 times daily
2-6 years old: 1/2 to 1 teaspoonful (2.5mL to 5.0mL)
7-12 years old: 1 teaspoonful (5mL)
Adult: 2 teaspoonfuls (10mL)
Or as prescribed by a physician.
Indications: It is used as bronchodilator in the management of reversible airways obstruction, as in asthma and in some patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Salbutamol and other beta agonists should be given with caution in hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency, arrythmias, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation and diabetes mellitus.
