Salbutamol and other beta agonists should be given with caution in hyperthyroidism, myocardial insufficiency arrhythmias, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation, hypertension and diabetes mellitus (especially on intravenous administration —-blood glucose should be monitored since ketoacidosis has been reported).
