DESCRIPTION
COLDREX G is a combination cough and cold syrup containing Phenylpropanolamine (PPA), a nasal decongestant, and Guaifenesin, an expectorant. Phenylpropanolamine helps relieve nasal congestion by constricting swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages, while guaifenesin helps loosen and thin mucus, making coughs more productive.
USES
• Relief of cough with chest congestion
• Helps loosen and expel phlegm and mucus
• Relief of nasal congestion associated with colds and flu
• Symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract infections
• Helps improve breathing comfort during colds
DOSAGE
• Adults: 10 mL every 6–8 hours, or as directed by a physician
• Children 6–12 years: 5 mL every 6–8 hours
• Children below 6 years: Use only upon medical advice
• Take with a full glass of water to aid mucus clearance
• Do not exceed recommended dose
PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage
• Use with caution in patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma
• Avoid use with other decongestants or stimulants
• Not recommended for patients taking MAO inhibitors
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Discontinue use if symptoms persist for more than 7 days
• Keep out of reach of children
SIDE EFFECTS
Possible side effects may include:
• Dizziness or headache
• Nervousness or restlessness
• Nausea or stomach discomfort
• Increased blood pressure or rapid heartbeat (rare)
