DESCRIPTION
VYMADA Sacubitril + Valsartan Film Coated Tablet 200 mg is a fixed dose combination of sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). This dual mechanism enhances beneficial natriuretic peptides while blocking harmful effects of the renin angiotensin system, resulting in improved cardiac function, reduced blood pressure, and decreased fluid retention.

USES
• Treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF)
• Reduction in risk of cardiovascular mortality and heart failure–related hospitalization

DOSAGE
• Dosage should be as prescribed by a physician
• Common maintenance dose: 200 mg twice daily
• Dose titration is based on patient tolerance, blood pressure, and renal function
• May be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew

PRECAUTIONS
• Contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitors or ARBs
• Do not use with ACE inhibitors or within 36 hours of switching from an ACE inhibitor
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, hepatic dysfunction, low blood pressure, or dehydration
• Not recommended during pregnancy due to risk of fetal harm
• Breastfeeding should be avoided unless advised by a physician
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and serum potassium is recommended

SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects may include:
• Hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels)
• Reduced kidney function
• Cough
Seek immediate medical attention if signs of angioedema (swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat) occur.
