DESCRIPTION
CARDIOVASC Amlodipine Tablet 5mg contains amlodipine besylate, a calcium channel blocker used to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, reducing the workload of the heart and helping prevent chest pain.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of angina pectoris (chronic stable and vasospastic angina)
• Helps reduce the risk of complications related to high blood pressure such as heart attack and stroke

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual starting dose: 5 mg once daily
o Dose may be increased up to 10 mg once daily as directed by a physician
May be taken with or without food. Take at the same time each day.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment or heart failure
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• May cause dizziness; caution is advised when driving or operating machinery
