FLAMIC Mefenamic Acid Tablet 500mg
DESCRIPTION
FLAMIC Mefenamic Acid Tablet 500mg contains mefenamic acid, a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and swelling. It is commonly used for short term relief of mild to moderate pain.

USES
• Relief of mild to moderate pain
• Treatment of dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain)
• Relief of headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain
• Management of pain due to minor injuries or inflammation

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Initial dose: 500mg
o Then 250mg every 6 hours as needed
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration or as directed by a physician
Take after meals to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration
• Not recommended for patients with a history of peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe kidney disease
• Use with caution in elderly patients
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs unless advised by a physician
• Discontinue use and consult a doctor if pain persists
