DESCRIPTION
TGP Irbesartan Film Coated Tablet 150mg contains irbesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. By relaxing and widening blood vessels, irbesartan helps lower blood pressure and improve blood flow, reducing strain on the heart and protecting kidney function.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with hypertension
• Treatment of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension
• Helps protect kidney function and slow progression of kidney damage

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual dose: 150mg once daily
o Dose may be increased to 300mg once daily depending on patient response, or as directed by a physician
May be taken with or without food. Take at the same time each day.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Contraindicated in pregnancy; discontinue immediately if pregnancy occurs
• Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver impairment
• Inform your doctor if taking diuretics, potassium supplements, or potassium containing salt substitutes
• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and potassium levels regularly
• Consult a doctor before use if breastfeeding

SIDE EFFECTS
