DESCRIPTION
PROZTAB FORTE Tamsulosin EC Tablet 400 mcg contains tamsulosin hydrochloride, a selective alpha 1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The enteric coated (EC) formulation helps improve gastrointestinal tolerability.

USES
• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Helps relieve urinary symptoms such as:
o Difficulty in starting urination
o Weak urine stream
o Frequent urination, especially at night
o Incomplete bladder emptying

DOSAGE
• Adults (Men): 1 EC tablet (400 mcg) once daily, preferably after the same meal each day, or as directed by a physician
• Swallow tablet whole with water
• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet

PRECAUTIONS
• For use in men only
• Use with caution in patients with low blood pressure or severe liver impairment
• May cause dizziness or fainting, especially at the start of therapy
• Caution when driving or operating machinery
• Inform your doctor before cataract or glaucoma surgery (risk of Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome)
• Consult a doctor before use if taking other alpha blockers or blood pressure medicines
• Not intended for use in children
