DESCRIPTION
CARDIOTAZ Trimetazidine HCl Film Coated Tablet 35mg contains trimetazidine hydrochloride, a metabolic anti ischemic agent. It works by improving myocardial glucose utilization through inhibition of fatty acid metabolism, thereby helping heart cells function better under low oxygen conditions without affecting heart rate or blood pressure.

USES
• Adjunct treatment of stable angina pectoris
• Helps reduce the frequency of angina attacks
• Improves exercise tolerance in patients with ischemic heart disease
• Supports myocardial energy metabolism in chronic ischemic conditions
Not intended for the acute relief of angina attacks.

DOSAGE
• Adults: 1 tablet (35mg) twice daily, preferably during meals, or as directed by a physician
• Swallow tablet whole with water

PRECAUTIONS
• Not indicated for the treatment of acute angina attacks
• Use with caution in elderly patients
• Contraindicated in patients with Parkinson’s disease, parkinsonian symptoms, tremors, or severe renal impairment
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Discontinue treatment and consult a physician if movement disorders occur

SIDE EFFECTS
Generally well tolerated. Possible side effects may include:

Rare but serious effects:
