DESCRIPTION
TGP Diphenhydramine Syrup contains Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride, a first generation antihistamine with antihistaminic, antitussive, and mild sedative properties. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, helping relieve allergic symptoms and reduce cough caused by upper respiratory tract irritation.
USES
• Relief of allergic symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and itching
• Management of cough due to colds or minor throat and bronchial irritation
• Relief of symptoms associated with hay fever and other respiratory allergies
• Provides mild sedative effect, which may help with rest during illness
DOSAGE
• Adults: 10 mL every 6–8 hours, or as directed by a physician
• Children 6–12 years: 5 mL every 6–8 hours
• Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mL every 6–8 hours, or as prescribed
• Children below 2 years: Use only if prescribed by a doctor
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
PRECAUTIONS
• May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery
• Avoid use with alcohol or other sedatives
• Use with caution in patients with glaucoma, asthma, enlarged prostate, or urinary retention
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Do not use for persistent cough associated with smoking or chronic lung disease unless advised by a physician
• Keep out of reach of children
