DESCRIPTION
GAVISCON Double Action Sachet is an oral antacid and reflux suppressant containing Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Calcium Carbonate. It provides rapid relief from acid related symptoms by neutralizing excess stomach acid and forming a protective alginate raft that floats on top of stomach contents, helping to prevent acid reflux into the esophagus.

USES
• Relief of acid reflux and heartburn
• Management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms
• Relief of indigestion and acid regurgitation
• Post meal and nighttime reflux symptoms
• Adjunct relief of gastric discomfort due to excess stomach acid

DOSAGE
Use as directed or according to label instructions.
• Adults and children 12 years and above:
1 sachet (10 mL) after meals and at bedtime, up to 4 times daily
• Children below 12 years:
Use only on the advice of a healthcare professional
Shake well before use. Contents may be taken directly from the sachet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Use with caution in patients on sodium restricted diets (contains sodium)
• Consult a healthcare professional before use in patients with renal impairment, hypercalcemia, or kidney stones

SIDE EFFECTS
• Generally well tolerated
• Mild bloating or flatulence
• Constipation (rare, due to calcium content)
