DESCRIPTION
MIKOSA Miconazole Nitrate Oral Gel 20 mg/g contains miconazole nitrate, an imidazole antifungal agent formulated for use in the oral cavity. It works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to disruption of fungal growth. The gel formulation adheres to the oral mucosa, allowing prolonged contact and effective local treatment.

USES
• Treatment of oral candidiasis (oral thrush)
• Management of fungal infections of the mouth and throat
• Relief of symptoms such as white patches, soreness, redness, and discomfort in the oral cavity
• Adjunct treatment for denture related stomatitis, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults and children (as prescribed):
Apply the gel to the affected area(s) in the mouth 2–4 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional
• The gel should be kept in the mouth as long as possible before swallowing
• For denture wearers, apply the gel to clean dentures before reinsertion
• Continue treatment for the full recommended duration, even if symptoms improve
