DESCRIPTION
CARDIOTAZ Trimetazidine Film Coated Tablet 20 mg contains trimetazidine, a metabolic anti ischemic agent. It works by optimizing cellular energy metabolism in the heart during episodes of reduced oxygen supply, helping protect heart cells without affecting heart rate or blood pressure.

USES
• Adjunct treatment of stable angina pectoris
• Improvement of myocardial energy efficiency in ischemic heart disease
• Supportive therapy in patients with coronary artery disease, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 20 mg taken two to three times daily, preferably with meals
• Dosage and duration are determined by the healthcare professional

PRECAUTIONS
• Not intended for the treatment of acute angina attacks
• Use with caution in elderly patients due to risk of movement disorders

• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment

• Discontinue and consult a doctor if movement abnormalities occur
