DESCRIPTION
CLOXIPEN Cloxacillin Oral Solution 250 mg per 60 mL is an oral antibiotic preparation containing cloxacillin, a beta lactam, penicillinase resistant penicillin. It is effective against penicillinase producing staphylococci and works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. This liquid formulation is suitable for pediatric and adult patients who have difficulty swallowing capsules.

• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections caused by susceptible organisms
• Respiratory tract infections due to cloxacillin sensitive bacteria
• Ear, nose, and throat infections
• Other staphylococcal infections resistant to ordinary penicillins

DOSAGE
• Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on age, body weight, severity, and type of infection
• Usually given in divided doses throughout the day
• Take preferably on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals) for better absorption
