DESCRIPTION
SOLMUX Carbocisteine Capsule 500 mg contains carbocisteine, a mucolytic agent that works by thinning and loosening thick, sticky mucus in the airways. By reducing mucus viscosity, it helps make coughing more productive and clears the respiratory tract, improving breathing comfort.

USES
• Helps loosen and expel thick phlegm or mucus
• Relief of productive (wet) cough
• Symptomatic treatment of respiratory conditions with excessive mucus, such as:
o Acute and chronic bronchitis
o Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
o Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o 1 capsule (500 mg) 3 times daily, or as directed by a physician
• Swallow capsule whole with water
• May be taken with or without food
Maintain adequate fluid intake to help mucus clearance.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease
