DESCRIPTION
TGP Butamirate Citrate Sustained Release Tablet is a non opioid antitussive medication formulated to suppress dry, non productive cough. Butamirate citrate acts centrally on the cough center to reduce cough reflex sensitivity. The sustained release formulation provides prolonged cough control with fewer daily doses.

USES
• Relief of dry, irritating, non productive cough
• Cough associated with upper respiratory tract infections
• Cough due to throat or bronchial irritation
• Allergic or environmental irritant related cough
• Symptomatic cough control where mucus production is minimal

DOSAGE
Use as directed by a physician.
• Adults and adolescents: 1 sustained release tablet once daily, or as prescribed
Tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew.

PRECAUTIONS
• Not recommended for productive cough with excessive mucus
• Avoid concomitant use with expectorants or mucolytics unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to butamirate citrate
• Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Seek medical advice if cough persists for more than 7 days or worsens
