DESCRIPTION
FURIC Febuxostat Film Coated Tablet 80 mg contains febuxostat, a non purine selective inhibitor of xanthine oxidase. It works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body and is used for the long term management of elevated serum uric acid levels in patients with gout.

USES
• Treatment of chronic hyperuricemia in patients with gout
• Helps prevent gout attacks by maintaining lower uric acid levels
• Reduces formation and deposition of urate crystals in joints and tissues
Not intended for the treatment of acute gout attacks

DOSAGE
• Adults: One tablet (80 mg) once daily, with or without food, as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Dose may be adjusted based on serum uric acid levels and clinical response
• Gout flare prophylaxis (e.g., NSAIDs or colchicine) may be recommended during the initial months of therapy
• Treatment is generally long term
