Description

INOXIN contains Digoxin 250 mcg (0.25 mg), a cardiac glycoside medicine used to improve heart function and help control heart rate in certain heart conditions.

Uses
Heart failure (congestive heart failure)
Atrial fibrillation
Atrial flutter
Certain other irregular heart rhythms as prescribed by a doctor
Dosage
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
The usual adult maintenance dose is 125 mcg to 250 mcg once daily, depending on age, kidney function, and medical condition.
Take at the same time each day.
Do not stop taking digoxin without consulting your doctor.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose.
Precautions

Use with caution if you:

Have kidney disease
Have thyroid disorders
Have electrolyte imbalances (low potassium, magnesium, or high calcium)
Are elderly
Have a history of heart rhythm problems

Inform your doctor if you are taking:

Diuretics (water pills)
Calcium channel blockers
Amiodarone
Quinidine
Antibiotics
Antacids or other medicines that may interact with digoxin
