DESCRIPTION
MELANOV MR Gliclazide Modified Release Tablet contains gliclazide, a sulfonylurea oral antidiabetic agent formulated in a modified release (MR) tablet. It works by stimulating insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells and improving insulin sensitivity, thereby helping to control blood glucose levels. The MR formulation provides a gradual release of the medicine for sustained glycemic control with once daily dosing.

USES
• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Improvement of glycemic control as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents
• Adjunct to diet and exercise for blood sugar control
Not indicated for type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis.

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 30 mg once daily
• Dose may be adjusted based on blood glucose response (usual range: 30–120 mg daily)
Administration:
• Take once daily with breakfast
• Swallow tablet whole with water
• Do not crush, chew, or split the modified release tablet
