DESCRIPTION
TGP Losartan Potassium + Hydrochlorothiazide Film Coated Tablet is a fixed dose combination antihypertensive medication. Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps reduce excess fluid and salt from the body. Together, they provide improved blood pressure control compared to either agent alone.

USES
• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy
• Blood pressure control in patients inadequately controlled on single agent therapy

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 1 film coated tablet once daily
• Dose adjustment may be necessary based on blood pressure response and patient condition
Tablet may be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day.

PRECAUTIONS
• Not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment or anuria
• Use with caution in patients with liver disease, kidney disease, or electrolyte imbalance
• Avoid use during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters
• Adequate hydration is important; excessive fluid loss may cause low blood pressure
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is advised

SIDE EFFECTS
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Low blood pressure (hypotension)
