DESCRIPTION
TGP Polymyxin B + Neomycin + Dexamethasone Ophthalmic / Otic Drops is a sterile combination preparation containing polymyxin B sulfate and neomycin sulfate (broad spectrum antibiotics) with dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. The antibiotics treat susceptible bacterial infections, while dexamethasone helps reduce associated inflammation, redness, swelling, and discomfort. It is intended for eye (ophthalmic) or ear (otic) use under medical supervision.

USES
• Treatment of bacterial eye infections with inflammation (e.g., conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis)
• Treatment of bacterial ear infections, such as otitis externa
• Management of inflammatory ocular or otic conditions where bacterial infection is present or suspected
• Post operative ocular inflammation with risk of infection, as prescribed

DOSAGE
Ophthalmic (eye) use:
• Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4–6 hours, or as prescribed
• In severe cases, dosing may be increased initially, then reduced as symptoms improve
Otic (ear) use:
• Instill 2–3 drops into the affected ear 2–3 times daily, or as directed
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface
• Use for the shortest effective duration as advised

PRECAUTIONS
• For ophthalmic and otic use only
• Prolonged corticosteroid use may lead to secondary infection, delayed healing, or increased intraocular pressure
• Not recommended for viral, fungal, or mycobacterial infections
• Use with caution in patients with aminoglycoside hypersensitivity
• Avoid otic use if tympanic membrane perforation is suspected unless directed by a physician
• Remove contact lenses before ophthalmic use
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed

SIDE EFFECTS
Possible side effects may include:
• Temporary burning or stinging upon application
• Eye or ear irritation, redness, or itching
• Blurred vision (temporary, ophthalmic use)
Rare but serious (with prolonged use):
• Secondary infection
• Increased intraocular pressure
