DESCRIPTION
TGP Ambroxol Hydrochloride Syrup is a mucolytic and expectorant medication containing Ambroxol Hydrochloride. It works by thinning and loosening thick mucus in the respiratory tract, making it easier to cough out phlegm and improving airflow. It is commonly used in acute and chronic respiratory conditions with excessive or thick secretions.
INDICATION
• Loosens and clears thick mucus and phlegm
• Used for treatment of respiratory disorders associated with productive cough
• Improves breathing by reducing mucus viscosity
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
• Adult and Children over 10 years old: 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) 3 times daily or as prescribed by the physician
• Preferably taken after meals
PRECAUTIONS
• Should not be given during the first trimester of pregnancy
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Consult a doctor if cough persists for more than 7 days or if accompanied by fever or difficulty breathing
• Use with caution in patients with stomach ulcers, liver or kidney disease
• Seek medical advice before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children
SIDE EFFECTS
Generally well tolerated. Possible mild side effects include:
• Headache
• Polyuria
• Fatigue
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
