DESCRIPTION
TGP Rosuvastatin Film Coated Tablet 10mg contains rosuvastatin calcium, a lipid lowering medicine belonging to the statin class. It works by inhibiting HMG CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in the liver. This helps lower total cholesterol, LDL (“bad” cholesterol), and triglycerides while increasing HDL (“good” cholesterol).

USES
• Treatment of hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol)
• Reduction of elevated LDL cholesterol and triglycerides
• Increase of HDL cholesterol
• Management of mixed dyslipidemia
• Prevention of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke in high risk patients
• Used together with diet, exercise, and lifestyle modification

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o Usual dose: 5–10mg once daily, or as directed by a physician
• Dose may be adjusted based on lipid levels and patient response
May be taken with or without food. Take at the same time each day.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose
• Contraindicated in patients with active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes
• Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment, hypothyroidism, or a history of muscle disorders
• Inform your doctor if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness
• Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake
