DESCRIPTION
BILAXTEN Bilastine Tablet 20 mg contains bilastine, a second generation, non sedating antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance released during allergic reactions, thereby relieving allergy symptoms without significant drowsiness.

USES
• Treatment of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial)
• Management of urticaria (hives)
• Relief of sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy or watery eyes
• Relief of itching and allergic skin reactions

DOSAGE
• Usual adult and adolescent dose (≥12 years): 20 mg once daily
• Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after food or fruit juice)
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Follow the dosage as prescribed by a healthcare professional

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment
• Avoid taking with fruit juices as they may reduce absorption
