DESCRIPTION
CEPHAM Cefalexin Drops 100 mg/10 mL contains cefalexin, a first generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in the destruction of susceptible bacteria. The drops formulation is intended for accurate dosing in infants and young children.

• Treatment of respiratory tract infections
• Treatment of ear infections (otitis media)
• Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
• Treatment of urinary tract infections
• Other infections caused by cefalexin sensitive bacteria, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Infants and Children: Dosage is based on body weight, age, and severity of infection, as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Usually given in divided doses throughout the day
Note: Shake well before use. Measure doses accurately using the provided dropper. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

PRECAUTIONS
• Check for history of hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or penicillins before use
• Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis
• Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non susceptible organisms
• Dosage adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment
• Use only when prescribed by a healthcare professional
