DESCRIPTION
TRAVOXCLAV 457 Co Amoxiclav Powder for Oral Suspension contains a combination of amoxicillin, a penicillin type antibiotic, and clavulanic acid, a beta lactamase inhibitor. Clavulanic acid protects amoxicillin from enzymatic degradation, thereby extending its antibacterial spectrum against beta lactamase–producing organisms. After reconstitution, it is intended for oral use, particularly in pediatric patients or those who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

USES
• Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:
o Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
o Ear, nose, and throat infections (e.g., otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis)
o Urinary tract infections
o Skin and soft tissue infections
o Dental infections
• Used when enhanced beta lactam coverage is required

DOSAGE
• Children: Dosage is based on body weight, severity of infection, and clinical judgment of the healthcare professional
• Commonly administered two times daily (every 12 hours), or as prescribed
• Shake well before each dose
• Use the provided measuring device for accurate dosing
• Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve

PRECAUTIONS
• Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, or beta lactam antibiotics
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or a history of cholestatic jaundice
• Dose adjustment may be required in renal impairment

• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if prescribed by a healthcare professional
