DESCRIPTION
TGP Irbesartan Tablet contains irbesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to lower blood pressure. It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. Irbesartan also helps protect the kidneys, particularly in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes.

USES
• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of stroke and cardiovascular events associated with hypertension
• Protection against kidney damage in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension
• Adjunct therapy in chronic kidney disease as prescribed

DOSAGE
Use as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 150 mg once daily
• Dose may be increased to 300 mg once daily depending on blood pressure response
Tablet may be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day.

PRECAUTIONS
• Contraindicated during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters
• Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis, kidney disease, or dehydration
• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and potassium levels regularly
• Avoid potassium supplements or potassium containing salt substitutes unless advised
• Consult a healthcare professional before use while breastfeeding
• Inform the doctor of all other medications being taken

SIDE EFFECTS
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fatigue
• Low blood pressure (hypotension)
• Increased potassium levels (hyperkalemia)
• Gastrointestinal discomfort
