DESCRIPTION
TGP Omeprazole Capsule 40 mg contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the proton pump in the stomach lining. It helps relieve symptoms of acid related gastrointestinal conditions and promotes healing of acid induced damage.

USES
• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Management of peptic ulcer disease
• Healing of erosive esophagitis
• Part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication
• Prevention and treatment of NSAID associated gastric ulcers

DOSAGE
• Usual adult dose: 40 mg once daily
• To be taken before meals, preferably in the morning
• Swallow the capsule whole; do not crush or chew
• Duration of treatment should follow a physician’s advice

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment
• Long term use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, hypomagnesemia, or bone fractures
• May mask symptoms of serious gastric conditions; consult a doctor if symptoms persist

• Inform your doctor of all other medications being taken
