DESCRIPTION
TGP Sitagliptin plus Metformin Film Coated Tablet 50 mg / 500 mg is a fixed dose combination oral antidiabetic medication. Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP 4) inhibitor that enhances incretin activity to increase insulin release and decrease glucagon levels, while metformin is a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. Together, they help improve blood glucose control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

USES
• Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Improves glycemic control when diet and exercise alone are insufficient
• Used when treatment with metformin or sitagliptin alone is inadequate
• May be used as part of combination therapy as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional
• Common adult dose: one tablet twice daily, taken with meals

PRECAUTIONS
