DESCRIPTION
ULZOL Omeprazole Capsule 20 mg contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It helps relieve symptoms of acid related disorders and promotes healing of acid induced damage to the stomach and esophagus.

USES
• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Management of peptic ulcer disease
• Treatment of erosive esophagitis
• Part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication
• Prevention of acid related ulcers associated with NSAID use

DOSAGE
• Usual adult dose: 20 mg once daily
• Should be taken before meals, preferably in the morning
• Swallow the capsule whole; do not crush or chew
• Duration of treatment depends on the condition being treated and physician’s advice

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with liver impairment
• Long term use may be associated with vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, or bone fracture risk
