DESCRIPTION
AIRMAXX Montelukast Film Coated Tablet 10mg contains montelukast sodium, a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by blocking leukotrienes—substances in the body that cause inflammation, airway narrowing, and mucus production—thereby helping prevent asthma symptoms and relieve allergic rhinitis.

USES
• Maintenance treatment of asthma
• Prevention of exercise induced bronchoconstriction
• Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial), such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and nasal itching
• Adjunct therapy for asthma control (not for acute attacks)

DOSAGE
• Adults and adolescents (15 years and above): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily, preferably in the evening, or as directed by a physician
• Swallow tablet whole with water
• May be taken with or without food

PRECAUTIONS
• Not indicated for the relief of acute asthma attacks
• Use with caution in patients with a history of neuropsychiatric symptoms
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Do not stop other asthma medications unless advised by a physician
• Inform your doctor if unusual behavioral or mood changes occur
• Keep out of reach of children

SIDE EFFECTS
Generally well tolerated. Possible side effects may include:
