DESCRIPTION
ARYA Glimepiride Tablet contains glimepiride, an oral antidiabetic medication belonging to the sulfonylurea class. It works by stimulating insulin release from pancreatic beta cells and improving the body’s response to insulin. This helps lower blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.

USES
• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control
• Monotherapy or combination therapy with other antidiabetic agents (e.g., metformin or insulin), as prescribed
Not indicated for type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis.

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 1 tablet (3 mg) once daily
• Dose adjustments are based on blood glucose response and patient condition
The tablet should be taken with breakfast or the first main meal of the day to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia. Swallow whole with water.

PRECAUTIONS
• Risk of hypoglycemia, especially if meals are skipped, during excessive physical activity, or with alcohol consumption
• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with renal or hepatic impairment
• Avoid excessive alcohol intake

SIDE EFFECTS
