DESCRIPTION
BIDOX Doxycycline Capsule 100 mg is a broad spectrum tetracycline class antibiotic containing doxycycline. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing the growth and spread of susceptible bacteria. It is effective against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative organisms, as well as certain atypical pathogens.

USES
• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections, including acne
• Urinary tract infections
• Sexually transmitted bacterial infections (as prescribed)
• Gastrointestinal infections
• Treatment of rickettsial infections, chlamydial infections, and mycoplasma infections
• Other infections caused by doxycycline sensitive organisms

DOSAGE
• Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional
• Common adult dose: 100 mg once or twice daily, depending on the infection
• Capsules should be taken with a full glass of water
• Preferably taken while sitting or standing to reduce esophageal irritation
• May be taken with food to reduce stomach upset
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve
