DESCRIPTION
DIURETAB Furosemide Tablet 20 mg contains furosemide, a loop diuretic. It works by increasing the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water through the kidneys, resulting in increased urine output. This helps reduce excess fluid in the body and lowers blood pressure.

USES
• Treatment of edema associated with heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disorders
• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure), alone or as adjunct therapy
• Treatment of acute and chronic fluid retention
• Management of conditions requiring rapid fluid removal, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 20–40 mg once or twice daily, adjusted according to patient response and clinical condition
• Elderly or patients with renal impairment: Lower initial doses may be required

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, or kidney impairment
