DESCRIPTION
EKOSART Losartan Tablet 100 mg is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to tighten, thereby improving blood flow and reducing the workload on the heart.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Reduction of risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy
• Management of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension
• Used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, as prescribed

DOSAGE
• Adults:
The usual dose is 50 mg once daily, which may be increased to 100 mg once daily depending on blood pressure response.
• May be taken with or without food.
• Dosage adjustments may be needed in patients with liver impairment or those taking diuretics.

PRECAUTIONS
