DESCRIPTION
OFRAMAC Ofloxacin Film Coated Tablet 400 mg is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, thereby stopping the growth and spread of susceptible bacteria. The film coated tablet improves ease of swallowing and helps reduce gastric irritation.

• Treatment of respiratory tract infections
• Management of urinary tract infections
• Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections
• Management of gastrointestinal infections
• Treatment of sexually transmitted infections, as prescribed
• Other infections caused by ofloxacin sensitive bacteria

DOSAGE
• Adults:
Usually 400 mg once or twice daily, depending on the type and severity of infection, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
• May be taken with or without food.
• Swallow tablet whole with water.
• Complete the full course of therapy even if symptoms improve.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not use if allergic to ofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics
• Use with caution in patients with:
o Kidney disease
o History of tendon disorders
o Seizure disorders or epilepsy
o Myasthenia gravis
• May increase the risk of tendonitis and tendon rupture, especially in elderly patients
• Avoid excessive sun exposure; may cause photosensitivity
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed
• Not generally recommended for children and adolescents unless clearly indicated
