DESCRIPTION
PANTOCAR 40 Pantoprazole Enteric Coated Tablet contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme system in the stomach lining. The enteric coated formulation protects the drug from stomach acid, ensuring optimal absorption in the intestine. It is used for the treatment and prevention of acid related gastrointestinal disorders.

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Erosive esophagitis
• Peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal ulcers)
• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome and other hypersecretory conditions
• Management and prevention of NSAID induced ulcers
• Relief of acid related dyspepsia, as prescribed

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 40 mg once daily
• Duration of therapy depends on the condition being treated
Administration:
• Take before meals, preferably before breakfast
• Swallow tablet whole with water
• Do not crush, chew, or split the enteric coated tablet

PRECAUTIONS
• Prolonged use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, hypomagnesemia, and bone fractures
