DESCRIPTION
SALBUSOL Salbutamol Sulfate Inhaler contains salbutamol (albuterol), a short acting beta 2 adrenergic agonist (SABA) that provides rapid bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways. It delivers 100 micrograms per actuation and is designed for quick relief of bronchospasm. The metered dose inhaler provides 200 actuations per canister.

USES
• Relief of acute bronchospasm in asthma
• Prevention and treatment of wheezing and shortness of breath
• Relief of bronchospasm in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Prevention of exercise induced bronchospasm
• Rescue medication for sudden asthma symptoms

DOSAGE / DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use as directed by a physician.
• Adults and children:
1–2 inhalations as needed, up to every 4–6 hours
• Exercise induced bronchospasm:
2 inhalations 15–30 minutes before exercise
Important instructions:
• Shake well before use
• Inhale deeply while pressing the canister
• Hold breath for about 10 seconds after inhalation, if possible
• Wait at least 1 minute between puffs if a second dose is required
• Use a spacer device if recommended, especially for children

PRECAUTIONS
• Not a substitute for regular controller (preventive) therapy
• Overuse may indicate worsening asthma—seek medical advice if frequent use is needed
• Use with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, or seizure disorders
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Inform the physician if symptoms do not improve or worsen

SIDE EFFECTS
• Tremor
• Nervousness or restlessness
• Headache
• Palpitations or increased heart rate
• Throat irritation
