PRAZOCAP Omeprazole Capsule 40mg
DESCRIPTION
PRAZOCAP Omeprazole Capsule 40mg contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production by blocking the gastric proton pump. It is used to treat acid related gastrointestinal conditions by promoting healing of the stomach and esophageal lining and relieving symptoms caused by excess acid.

USES
• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Management of peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal ulcers)
• Treatment of erosive esophagitis
• Part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication
• Management of Zollinger–Ellison syndrome and other acid hypersecretory conditions

DOSAGE
• Adults:
o 20–40mg once daily, or as directed by a physician
• Take before meals, preferably in the morning
• Swallow capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew
Dosage and duration depend on the condition being treated.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration
• Long term use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, hypomagnesemia, or bone fractures
• Use with caution in patients with liver disease

• Inform your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen
• May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy; medical evaluation is recommended for persistent symptoms
