DESCRIPTION
RITEMED Mefenamic Acid Tablet is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the relief of mild to moderate pain. Mefenamic acid works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain, inflammation, and fever. It is commonly used for short term treatment of pain conditions, particularly menstrual pain.

• Relief of mild to moderate pain
• Dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain)
• Dental pain
• Musculoskeletal pain
• Post operative pain (short term use)
• Pain associated with inflammation

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults:
Initial dose of 500 mg, followed by 250 mg every 6 hours as needed
• Duration:
Usually limited to short term use (not more than 7 days for pain, unless prescribed)
Tablets should be taken with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment
• Avoid use in patients with active peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe kidney impairment
• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or renal disorders
• Avoid concomitant use with other NSAIDs unless prescribed
• Not recommended during pregnancy, especially the third trimester

• Discontinue use and seek medical advice if severe abdominal pain, black stools, or allergic reactions occur
