DESCRIPTION
SALMEFLO Salmeterol + Fluticasone Inhaler is a fixed dose combination inhaled medication containing a long acting beta 2 agonist (LABA) and a corticosteroid. Salmeterol provides long lasting bronchodilation by relaxing airway muscles, while Fluticasone reduces airway inflammation. This combination is intended for maintenance therapy to control and prevent symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

• Maintenance treatment of bronchial asthma

• Prevention of wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and cough
• Reduction of frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations

DOSAGE / DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults and adolescents: 1 inhalation twice daily (morning and evening)
• Use regularly at the same times each day
Important instructions:
• Not intended for immediate relief of acute asthma attacks
• Always rinse the mouth with water after each use and spit out the water
• Follow correct inhaler technique to ensure effective delivery

PRECAUTIONS
• Not for use in acute bronchospasm or sudden asthma attacks
• A short acting rescue inhaler should always be available
• Do not exceed the prescribed dose
• Use with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or thyroid disorders
• Long term corticosteroid use may increase risk of oral fungal infections
• Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Do not stop treatment abruptly without medical advice

SIDE EFFECTS
• Hoarseness or voice changes
• Throat irritation or cough
• Oral candidiasis (thrush)
• Headache
• Tremor or palpitations
• Rare: increased risk of pneumonia in COPD patients
