DESCRIPTION
SULTAM Tamsulosin Enteric Coated Tablet 200 mcg contains tamsulosin hydrochloride, a selective alpha 1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing urinary symptoms. The enteric coated formulation helps protect the stomach and allows proper drug release.

USES
• Treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Relief of urinary symptoms such as difficulty in urination, weak stream, and frequent or urgent urination
• Improvement of urine flow in prostate enlargement

DOSAGE
• Adults: Usually 200–400 mcg once daily, taken after the same meal each day, as prescribed by a healthcare professional
Note: Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush, chew, or split.

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with low blood pressure
• May cause dizziness or fainting, especially after the first dose
• Caution in patients with severe liver impairment
• Inform the doctor before planned cataract or glaucoma surgery (risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome)
