DESCRIPTION
TAMPLUS is a fixed dose combination medicine containing Tamsulosin and Finasteride, formulated in a sustained release capsule for once daily use.
• Tamsulosin is an alpha 1 adrenergic blocker that relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow.
• Finasteride is a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces prostate size by lowering dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels.
Together, they provide both rapid symptom relief and long term reduction in prostate enlargement.

USES
• Management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Relief of lower urinary tract symptoms such as:
o Difficulty in urination
o Weak urine stream
o Hesitancy and straining
o Frequent urination, especially at night
• Reduction of risk of acute urinary retention
• Decreased likelihood of BPH related surgery with long term use

DOSAGE
Use strictly as directed by a physician.
• Adults: 1 sustained release capsule once daily
The capsule should be taken after the same meal each day and swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

PRECAUTIONS
• For use in adult males only
• Not indicated for use in women or children
• Use with caution in patients with low blood pressure, liver impairment, or those taking antihypertensive medications
• Finasteride may affect prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels; inform the physician before PSA testing

SIDE EFFECTS
