DESCRIPTION
TGP Candesartan Tablet 16 mg is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to lower blood pressure and protect the heart and kidneys. It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow, allowing blood vessels to relax and improve blood flow.

USES
• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Management of heart failure to reduce hospitalization and improve outcomes
• Reduction of risk of cardiovascular complications associated with high blood pressure

DOSAGE
• Adults:
The usual starting dose is 8 mg once daily, which may be increased to 16 mg or 32 mg once daily depending on blood pressure response.
• 16 mg once daily may be used as a maintenance dose.
• May be taken with or without food.
• Take at the same time each day.
• Dosage should be individualized and prescribed by a healthcare professional.

PRECAUTIONS
• Do not use if allergic to candesartan
