DESCRIPTION
TGP Domperidone Film Coated Tablet 10 mg contains domperidone, a dopamine (D₂) receptor antagonist with prokinetic and antiemetic properties. It enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing esophageal and gastric peristalsis and facilitates gastric emptying, while also helping to relieve nausea and vomiting. Domperidone has minimal penetration of the blood–brain barrier at therapeutic doses.

USES
• Relief of nausea and vomiting
• Management of functional dyspepsia
• Treatment of gastroparesis and delayed gastric emptying
• Adjunct therapy for gastroesophageal reflux related symptoms
• Symptomatic relief of bloating and early satiety

DOSAGE
• Adults: One tablet (10 mg) up to three times daily, 15–30 minutes before meals, or as prescribed by a healthcare professional
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration
• Maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg, unless specifically directed

PRECAUTIONS
• Use with caution in patients with cardiac disease, electrolyte disturbances, or hepatic impairment
• Domperidone may be associated with QT prolongation and cardiac rhythm disorders, especially at higher doses or in at risk patients
• Avoid concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or other medicines known to prolong the QT interval
• Not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly needed and prescribed
• Therapy should be reviewed if symptoms persist

SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects may include:
• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Abdominal cramps or diarrhea
Less common or serious side effects:
• Palpitations or cardiac rhythm disturbances
• Elevated prolactin levels (rarely causing breast tenderness or galactorrhea)
• Allergic reactions (rash, itching)
